This is recipe is an idea of how to use my Delicious Creamy Avocado Dip at breakfast. Having said that is equally good for lunch or any number of snacks in between!
Full of protein, healthy fats, vitamins, omega’s and fibre, this is a powerhouse breakfast that keeps you fuller for longer and firing on all cylinders!
I used Biona Rye Bread with Pumpkin Seeds but if you are looking for a grain free version then try using my Grain Free Tortilla Protein Wraps.
Rye is high in fibre which makes you feel fuller for longer, it has a lower insulin response than wheat which helps to keep blood sugar levels more stable and contains less gluten, it’s a recognised Prebiotic (friendly gut bacteria), and is high in Iron, Magnesium and Zinc.
I buy this in all the main supermarkets. The first time I tried this bread my taste buds were like “what the actual”??? but after a couple of goes I grew to really like it so persevere! However I find that it does need to be toasted!
You can use smoked or flaked salmon, whichever your prefer. There is not much different in price 100g for 100g but the flaked comes in a smaller packet so you spend less overall and there is less wastage.
